MediaBAND FORMS UNDERGROUND “SOCIAL JUSTICE ARMY” FOUNDATION TO MAKE A DIFFERNCE IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES AROUND THE NATION October 9, 2007 (NASHVILLE, TENN) October 9, 2007 – Premiere Kosmos/KOCH Records band Fort Pastor is slated to release its highly anticipated debut record, Beautiful Imperfection on Oct. 9, 2007. Made up of Brant Christopher, Jeffrey Todd and Jono Callow, the trio’s new project is a unique combination of folk rock, acoustic rock and modern Americana reminiscent of musical style as groups like John Butler Trio and Dave Matthews Band. Lead by front man Brant Christopher, Fort Pastor formed in October 2005 after meeting at Greenbelt Festival in Cheltenham, UK. After independent releases, the group recently signed with Kosmos Records earlier this year and has toured extensively through this summer with appearances at major festivals including Soulfest. Blending their Australian and American roots, Beautiful Imperfection is self-produced and features Fort Pastor’s signature organic mixture of acoustic rock that has garnered the praise of critics and fans alike. The group is not only attracting attention with their music, but also with their message of community action and social reform on the local level. Ardently expressing their views on war, social issues, and love within their music; Fort Pastor is out for social justice and have created their own foundation called the “Social Justice Army (SJA).” Fans of the band can join the ‘Army’ and commit to serving their community one hour a month. With local chapters of the SJA being formed all over the country, people are learning more about the issues their local communities are facing and affecting change. The Army is already responsible for over 20,000 community service hours a year. From homelessness to fair trade, Fort Pastor wants their fans to be informed of the problems this generation is facing. “Fort Pastor is committed to making a difference in the world through community action, Christopher said. We want our music to serve as the inspiration and motivation for change.” The bands first single, “March Out” is the theme song for the SJA and is a battle cry for listeners to take charge and make a difference in the lives of others and the world in general. With adds at radio stations around the nation, the single will also serve as Fort Pastor’s premiere video release that was shot on location in St. Petersburg, Fla. With more than seven years experience at the Vice President and Sr. Vice President level developing and implementing marketing campaigns for music labels, Mark Lusk and ONdO Entertainment will launch and oversee the marketing campaign for Fort Pastor’s debut project.
